My reactions to reactions

1. How are creativity and logical thinking related?
Ans: Creativity is a spontaneous burst of Ideas whereas logical thinking can either result in an effective implementation of those ideas or most often completely fuck them up.

2. Success defies everything as does failure.
Ans: Superb. In my experience failure does it better.

3. I have some fantastic horror/thriller scripts.
Ans: Why don’t you yourself make some fantastic horror/thriller films out of them?

4. No matter how intelligent you think you are there will always be someone more intelligent than you.
Ans: I have this nagging feeling that you think you are that ‘more intelligent’ guy but let me inform you that I am more intelligent than you thereby proving that your thinking is absolutely right. CONGRATS and CHEERS!

5. You are a shadow of your past. I saw Sarkar and Sarkar Raj. They are ordinary.
Ans: Ok Sir.

6. My girl friend says that you look scarier than your movies.
Ans: Thanks.

7. Make films on international drug peddling and on street gangs.
Ans: Anything else Sir?

Now I know you hate being praised but you are the most funniest guy I know. Thanks. You give sarcastic humor the freedom it deserves. Your personality has always been intriguing to me, whatever be the range of your work, be it from Naach, Sarkar(1&2) to RGV ki AAG, Shiva(new). Thanks again. Its worth my time blogging here.

  3. Arun says:

The execution of an idea determines how good/bad a movie is. Now you have explained that no director wants the movie to be " good in parts",so after almost 20 years of making movies, what have you logically analysed about why does the movie sometime shape up only " good in parts" ? Or is it always unexplainable ?

Can u describe the conception or behind the scenes stuff about the scene in the movie Nishabd where Amitabh\’s character decides against commiting suicide saying that everyday he feels like living one more day thinking of jiah. Had u thought of another end. Personally i thought it was the best scene in the movie both in terms of AB\’s performance and the emotion it evokes in the viewer

If a person copies some information and use it for his pupose, doesn\’t that mean the person is  self less ?By copying , doesn\’t the person imply that he is inferior to other people? .A person with Ego would never copy I believe. Because he wants to do things all by himself and he wants things to be born out  of only  his struggles – whether physical or mental. I\’m saying this to you  because though  you think you are a selfish guy, but infact you are a selfless guy. Now why am I saying this too you ? Because i thought i could derive some pleasure writing something on this comment space. Now this pleasure comes not by hurting you ( anyway only people with no stuff in their brain would get effected by this comment) it comes by typing keys . On a random note – how often do you masturbate ?.

If you really don\’t mind can you explain what actually does a "Director" "Screenplay" and "Script" do?? How are they different from each other ?I dont have much knowledge about films… but a sincere question i would like to ask is that … If a script contains everything then what is the role of the director?

    RGV,

Do you still believe that you can’t make better movie than ‘SATYA’.
I felt the songs in your first movie ‘SHIVA’ are so distracting to the seriousness of the movie and the way story moves so intensively except that ‘botany patam undi’ song. Hahahahaa…(funny smile not a sarcastic one). I am sure you were not in a position to suggest or convince Venkat, Nag, etc a movie without songs. They would have looked at you and told you WHHATtt…………are you out of your mind, movie in Telugu with no songs.

By the way did you dare to give the suggestion that ‘SHIVA’ with no songs?

Ramu, If u haven\’t read \’The Polyester Prince\’, I strongly suggest you to read it. Hello. Hello. Hello… if there is one thing I am scared of more than
my haters it’s well-wishers and patronisers like you. That’s because I
can so easily fall a victim to your kind of breed as you guys create a
false sense of security. I beg you and plead to you and request you to
chill and see my movies and read my blog if you feel like it or don’t
    if you don’t feel like.

I don’t need anybody to tell me how
good or how bad I am. If you praise me beyond what I think of my worth
is, I will think you are a fool and if you praise me below what I think
my worth is also I will think you are fool. Nobody knows me beyond I,
    me and myself.

Oh my haters! I plead you all to come
save me, a self-obsessed megalomaniacal fuck-all filmmaker from the
love of my well-wishers and patronisers.

    ——————————————————————–
    Mr. RGV,
I fail to understand your stand when someone praises your work.
Well, I can understand you are in the industry where people say different
things behind your back and you don\’t want someone to tell you how good or bad
    you are.
Point is, being a celebrity you have certain responsibilities towards your
fans, read consumer of your product.
Either you are gullible, scared person or too arrogant to acknowledge others
appreciation. ( I know this will get your one line sarcastic reply).
If you don\’ like some one praising you or your work, you can simply ignore it.

There is no need to humiliate your fans.
More than any other philosopher or book you have read so far, you need to read Dale
Carnegie\’s  “How to Win Friends and
    Influence People:”.

Thanks (BTW I like your movies and continue to come to this
site for your honest and interesting blog and your insights of movies even though I get a reply \’Get Out\’.)

  31. Shyaam Nagarajan says:

I see that a lot of people are asking you to listen to their ideas and stories in
this forum so that U can help them make a film? Shouldn\’t be helping them instead of discouraging them by saying "make your own films". They wouldnt ask every Tom Dick and Harry to help them out. Are you scared they will outsmart you in ideas or execution of the ideas? Aren\’t you insecure about your foothold in the film industry dude?

  32. snow says:

sustain your passions nobody is stopping you from that be also be passionate about social responsibility.dont repeat the answer that u beleive in self-welfare only.remember you have been given a powerful place in this society and u have powerful tools in u r hands,u have the mass medium with u, to shape up the psyche of this nation.even if one person goes to bed inspired in a good way watching your movies shud give u more satisfaction than the farcical filmfare awards!your bohemian lifestyle will not do!

Into the mind of a destitute
A small incident can change the entire perception of ones life. The incident, which I want to share with you all, is for real and my own experience…This took place when i was living in Chennai as a 17 year old; it was scorchy summer and my first visit to VGP beach. It was a wonderful experience visiting such a beautiful place filled with ambience and filmy sets, plus the seashore.
My play ness went on high (as couples were heating up the sun with their intimate display of their privacy and romance in public). It is funny to put myself in their position, would i take my G.F to a park and make her wet. Or myself wet…with people shouting once more!!!!! At least by their looks…anyways everything went well, the usual me was wandering with my fantasy world and somehow i left the place (VGP) and was waiting to catch my bus to return my home.
I was damn thirsty n was lucky enough to get a chilled (1 rupee) water packet from a shop nearby.Strangely… dunno why, i could manage to drink only half the packet. As ususual childish me, i fling the packet to other side of the road considering the fact that its a "piece of shit to me", the packet gliding with the dirt and stink had to stop atlas. Suddenly i noticed a beggar madly pulling himself towards that packet which i considered waste. He was trying hard (it was a painy visual experience to me as he looked sick and was in a total immobile state). Finally he managed to reach and to my surprise. Something strange happened…I couldn\’t take my eyes away from that of his, it was heavenly treat to stare into his eyes.. it gave me pleasure more than those ravishing looks of aishwarya or any lolly…the sweetness of his expression with the joy, every bit of that cold drops hes gulping was like a treat to me. It is something out of the world kind of experience, indeed i consider myself to be blessed to have such a feeling in such a scorching day in chennai. But… Hold on…not for long…….Suddenly my eye lost the contact diverting it to somewhere else, after all..its just a half a packet of water..its over..so was (mine) his joy. He was returning back to his place..a corner place near to bus stop, kind of home for him, .
I could see him point blank and believe me it was a shocking sight. The gunny bag covering his amputated left leg (guess gangrene) flew away; i had to see his wounded leg with flesh open, immediately these bunch of houseflies plunging towards the flesh of this poor chap for their treat. He has no energy to defend even those tiny flies. Later…somehow, he managed to defend by dressing his wounded leg with that stinky gunny bag for protection…
i dunno why i was speechless. I dint help him..nor did i though about it..it was all kind of play to me..and i was not in my senses…before i think..there comes my bus to drive me away with this experience..This incident will stay with me, until the day i breathe, infact i don’t understand why is that we are born differently? Why is that he needs to suffer and why is that we are blessed to live a normal life? This question always strikes in me….
If there is any such thing known as re-incarnation, i wish to swap myself with that of this destitute and let me experience pain he has gone through and let him know that my feeling towards him has reached to such an extent that i can still visualize it now.

Is it not that… when u are watching a film or reading a book or watching any real situation happening in ur life, u will be usually busy thinking how u can use that particular scene or words (after slight modification if necessary) for ur future movies rather than absorbing its intensity? How many times do u pause a movie while watching it and think for a while "is this scene useful for me?"… its just a curiosity to know – of this stupid mind…
